Do you have free shipping?
Yes, we offer free shipping for orders over ¥30,000. Please note that this means that the total amount due--after applying any discounts or coupons and before applying shipping costs--must be at least ¥30,000 worth of merchandise. Free shipping is not available for any items that require oversize shipping or for Personal Shopper orders. Details on 'oversize shipping' can be found below, but this basically means items that weigh more than 25kg and/or whose combined length, width and height are greater than 160 cm. Please note that COD charges will still be applied even when the shipping charges are free.

How much does shipping cost?
We believe in keeping things simple and affordable. 'How simple and how affordable', you ask? We answer you, 'Very simple and very affordable'. All packages ship for the low, standard rate of ¥950 per box. Anywhere in Japan.

Can we pay at delivery?
Yes. If you'd like to pay in cash, you can do so by choosing the COD/ 代引き payment option. If you would like to pay with a credit card, you will need to pay when you checkout. We cannot accept credit cards at the time of delivery. There is a 350 yen charge for using the COD service that will be added to your order total at checkout to the shipping & handling (S/H) charges.

How are boxes filled?
Boxes are filled by weight—up to 20kg for chilled & frozen boxes and up to 25 kg for all other boxes—but don’t worry, we keep track of everything and calculate it automatically for you. That’s it. No tricky measurements or crazy math for you to deal with. After all, you came here to shop, right? And for all of you in Hokkaido, Okinawa, and the ‘outlying islands’, don’t worry, we won’t make you pay any more than anyone else.

How much do I have to pay for shipping chilled or frozen items?
Pay extra for your frosty favorites? Nonsense! Like we said, everything ships for the same low rates so there is no extra cost to fill up a box or two or three with all of your favorite frosty and chilled foods. Cheese? Tater tots? Frozen Strawberries? Please. Go wild and buy everything you want and let us take care of getting it delivered to your door for you.　

Please keep in mind that in order to keep costs down for you across the site and to keep our shipping costs down, we will try and combine chilled and frozen items with non-refirgerated items wherever reaonsably possible. That said, if you ever have any special requests regarding how you would like shipped, please don't hesitate to send us a mail or give us a call to let us know. We will do our best to accomodate you or to find a solution that will make everyone happy.

How do I know which items are usually shipped frozen?
Products on our site fall that ship frozen will usually feature the word FROZEN in their product title.

How long does shipping take?
Aside from the joy of shopping for all your favorite food and furnishings on Yoyo Market, there might be no greater joy in life than actually receiving all the goodies you’ve treated yourself to. Knowing this, we receive regular orders from our suppliers and make regular trips to Costco so that we can be sure that all of your orders will be packed and sent off to you as soon as possible.

For all of Honshu and Shikoku, if you place your order before noon on a weekday, we can have everything to you by the next day! For Hokkaido, Kyushu and the myriad outlying of islands, SHIPPING TAKES 2 DAYS PLEASE NOTE IF YOU LIVE IN ONE OF THESE PLACES, but even 2 days to the furthest corners of Japan is extremely fast, we think. When you checkout, please just select the date that works best for you from the drop-down delivery date selection menu.

As an online store we are never closed however we don't do any shipping on the weekend, this means that if you want to receive your order on Saturday or Sunday you must order before 13:00 on Friday. Orders placed after 13:00 on Fridays will usually be shipped on Monday and will arrive on Tuesday.

At Yoyo Market we're dedicated to bringing you as many great Costco and IKEA products and as much value and convenience as possible. This means that we are committed to bringing you not only small packages of joy--like bagels, fresh-butchered meats, detergents and shampoos--but also great big, cozy and comfortable balls of joy in the form of IKEA chairs, sofas, desks and bookshelves. Best of all, the process of buying big things from IKEA is just as easy as buying your favorite Costco foods and small IKEA accessories. The only notable difference for you is the cost of shipping.

Below, we answer your questions about oversize shipping and provide you with a rough guide to the shipping rates for oversize items. If you have any further, questions, by all means please give us a call, chat with us or send us an email.


What qualifies as an oversize item?
A great question. For our purposes, an oversize item means anything that has a total length, width, and height of more than 160cm. At Yoyo Market, 98.3% of the time (mind you, that is a rough guess...) this will refer to a stylish piece of IKEA furniture. However, from time to time it also might apply to a large toy from Costco or some Costco garden furniture.

Do oversize items take a longer to deliver?
For items in the Kanto area oversize items will usually be deliverable within two days. For other parts of Japan it typically takes between 3 and 6 days. When the package arrives at your local delivery center the delivery company will contact you and arrange a delivery time that is convenient for you.

Do you ship everywhere in Japan?
Almost. For Okinawa and some other islands there may be some situations where we cannot ship. Please inquire if you would like to know more.

Do you ship outside of Japan.
No. Sorry. No such luck. Please play again.

What are the rates for shipping oversize items?
The exact cost of shipping oversized items differs with every order, as the weight and size requirements are always changing, as is the delivery destination. What doesn't change, however, is the fact that we ALWAYS search for the cheapest delivery option possible. Once you let us know what you need, we'll get searching and will get you an estimate of all costs--shipping included--as quickly as we can.

Is COD available for Oversize Items?
The COD (Cash on Delivery) payment option is currently not available for Oversize Items. Please see our Payment Policy section for complete details on all of our payment options.

Will the delivery dude bring the items all the way into my living room for me?
Highly unlikely, but not impossible. We subcontract all shipping out to either Yamato (Black Cat) or Sagawa, two of Japan's largest and most respected shipping and delivery companies. Unfortunately, their policies prohibit their drivers/ delivery men from bringing anything past your entryway (genkan). In some cases your particular delivery professional might be a little more laid back and a little more willing to bend the rules, but you definitely shouldn't count on this. Please be sure that you will be able to move things on your own or that you have friends who can help you out.

What if we order something that is too big to fit into our door or our apartment?
Speaking from experience, we understand all too well that sometimes, despite your most diligent measuring and planning, things don't fit the way you expect them to. If this happens to you, and you'd like to return something, we can refund the cost of the product, but you will be responsible for 100% of all delivery costs to and from your apartment/ house and you will be fully responsible for arranging the return of the item. As you can imagine, that will be a very expensive and time-consuming mistake, so please be absolutely sure that what you are ordering will fit into your place before buying.

Our beloved company president once talked his wife into buying a three-seat Ektorp sofa only to find that the ceiling in his hallways was over a foot shorter than the ceiling in his living room. Unfortunately for him, he had only measured the living room ceiling and took for granted that all the ceilings in his apartment were created equal. Not only did he have to pay 30,000 yen for the return shipping, but he and his wife also had to squeeze themselves past the monstrosity every time they entered or exited their apartment for a week while waiting for the delivery company to return it to IKEA. Needless to say, his wife was less than pleased.

The moral of the story:  Please be sure that what you order will fit into your place.
