Payment Policy
Buying your favorite things on your favorite website shouldn’t be a complicated or confusing process. With this in mind, we always strive to provide our customers with an exceptionally simple and painless checkout experience. The details of this experience are as follows:
Payment Options
Everybody shops a little differently. We not only buy different products, but we also browse differently and sometimes prefer to pay for things differently. We understand this and try very hard to keep it in mind when deciding what payment options to provide.
COD (Payment at Delivery): As the name pretty succintly suggests, you pay in cash when your order is delivered to your door. Some things to bear in mind with COD purchases:
- There is a ¥350 COD processing surcharge due at delivery which is automatically added to your order.
- Cash Only. Credit Cards cannot be used to pay for COD deliveries. Please have your money ready when the delivery dude comes. Exact change is not necessary, but it does probably make the delivery dude's life a bit easier if you can do it.
- COD may not be available for larger items (Oversize Items). This would include item's whose package has a cumulative size of greater than 160 cm and/ or whose weight exceeds 25kg. This is typically only relevant to items purchased on request through Our personal Shopper Service.
Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Discover and American Express):
To ensure your safety and security during credit card transactions, Yoyo Market works closely with PayPal. Owned by Ebay Inc., PayPal is a global leader in online payment solutions and now has more than 153 million accounts worldwide and is available in 190 markets and 24 currencies around the world. Best of all, PayPal is simple to use and won’t add a lot of time to the checkout experience.
If you’d like to know more about PayPal or the extensive steps they take to protect personal and financial information, we strongly encourage you to check out their site (here) for yourself. In the meantime, some highlights include:
- PayPal verifies that your internet browser is running Secure Sockets Layer 3.0 (SSL) or higher whenever you register or log in
- All information in transit is protected by SSL with an encryption key length of 168 bits—the highest level commercially available.
- All information is stored on PayPal’s servers and heavily guarded, both physically and electronically.
- To further shield your credit card and bank numbers, PayPal does not directly connect their firewall-protected servers to the internet.
Simply put, you get an incredibly safe and secure checkout that is also seamless and simple. That means more time for shopping, eating and watching movies for everyone!
PayPal: For those of you that already have a PayPal account set up and would like to pay directly from your PayPal account, you can do that, too. Once we receive confirmation of your payment from PayPal, we’ll get everything shipped off to you.

Post-Payment Communication & Confirmation
Once you’ve placed your order, you can expect to receive the following from us:
Confirmation of Order and Payment:
This mail will be sent to the email address you provide us with, shortly after your order has been placed. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of placing your order, please let us know (support@yoyomarket.jp), as it may indicate that your order was not processed.
Confirmation of Shipment:
Once your payment has been confirmed, we’ll package everything up for you and get it sent off. As soon as the package has been sent we’ll, send you a confirmation of shipment. You can also visit your My Account page at anytime to check on the progress of your order. Unfortunate Realities
Though we are extremely vigilant about always maintaining a keen awareness of what’s in stock and what is not in at Costco, by nature Costco's stock is very volatile. We try to compensate for this by keeping a good stock of such volatile items but inevitably sometimes there is a situation where items in your order are out of stock. In this case we usually give you a call and ask you if you would like something else however there are some items which we specify on the site that we will not contact you. In either case the out of stock items will be removed from your order and the money will be removed from your COD total or in the case of a credit card order returned directly to your credit card.
